Comprehensive cancer infrastructures—hospitals, universities, research institutes and other care organisations—also vary widely in their ability to run clinical research. Enable comprehensive cancer infrastructures to co-create, pilot and upscale evidence-based, tailored, affordable and accessible clinical research programmes for lung, bowel, breast or prostate cancer. Address innovative diagnostics, cancer treatments, therapeutic vaccines or clinical-practice guidelines; operate in at least four eligible countries including one with no or less-developed comprehensive infrastructure; involve patients and caregivers; disaggregate data by sex, gender, age and relevant social variables; document datasets in the European Health Data Space catalogue; use open science and UNCAN.eu; and provide the dedicated clinical-study annex and Cancer Mission cluster budget.
