Ports sit where cities, industry, rivers and seas meet, so they can either concentrate pollution and ecological pressure or become powerful demonstration sites for restoration and resilience. This topic funds projects that test and scale systemic solutions in both coastal and inland ports.

An Innovation Action demonstrating systemic solutions for green, circular and resilient coastal and inland harbours. Projects must demonstrate in at least four ports across the Atlantic and Arctic, Mediterranean, Baltic and North Sea, and Danube/Black Sea basins; restore ecosystems, reduce pollution, improve biodiversity and resource management, and strengthen resilience to floods, drought, sea-level rise and extreme weather. Port authorities and public administrations should lead local implementation strategies, with knowledge transfer, assistance to smaller ports and associated-region replication.
