Cancer screening programmes for gastric cancer
Funds a stepwise rollout of gastric cancer screening programmes across EU Member States, including AI-assisted screening.
This is a single-stage EU4Health Project Grant with an indicative topic budget of €3 million, one of nine SANTE topics sharing the same call and deadline (budgets ranging from €600,000 to €20 million). Applications go through the EU Funding & Tenders Portal, with page-limit, eligibility and financial-capacity rules set out in the call document; a recorded info session with FAQs is also available.
This topic funds implementation research to pilot and expand gastric cancer screening programmes within Member States' own national priorities, following the EU's 2022 Council Recommendation on cancer screening. It wants proposals that run and coordinate implementation studies, assess or explore the use of AI in screening, link national programmes to reduce duplication, and collect data on benefits, harms, quality and cost-effectiveness.
