Innowwide is a European Union-funded programme administered by the EUREKA secretariat that provides a flat EUR 60,000 grant to a single SME or startup for a six-month market feasibility study assessing an innovative solution in an international market outside Europe. Unlike bilateral EUREKA programmes funded by National Funding Bodies, Innowwide is centrally funded by the EU under the European Partnership on Innovative SMEs, and applicants apply directly to the EUREKA secretariat rather than through a national agency. The most recent cycle, Call 4, had a deadline of 25 November 2025 and published its ranking list on 7 April 2026. Call 5 is the expected next annual cycle but no deadline has been announced as of mid-2026.
Eligibility is restricted to SMEs and startups registered in an EU Member State, Iceland, Israel, Norway, Switzerland, Türkiye, or the United Kingdom. The feasibility study must be directed at a target country in Africa, the Americas, Asia, or Oceania — not in core EUREKA countries. The applicant SME must engage an independent local subcontractor based in the target market to serve as the in-country partner; no consortium of multiple applicants is permitted, as the grant is awarded to one beneficiary. The EUR 60,000 award is fixed regardless of project scope and covers the six-month study period.
The programme suits SMEs with a validated product or service that want structured funding to test market entry in a new geography before committing to full expansion. Because calls open once per year and the next date is unconfirmed, organisations that missed Call 4 should monitor the EUREKA programmes page for a Call 5 announcement expected in autumn 2026, and can prepare by identifying the target market, selecting a qualified local subcontractor, and drafting the feasibility study scope in advance. The central administration model means no national funding body intermediary is involved in processing the application.
