Eligibility · Germany, Israel

The EUREKA Network Projects Germany–Israel 2026 bilateral call funds international R&D projects spanning any civilian technology sector, administered jointly by DLR Projektträger (DLR-PT) in Germany and the Israel Innovation Authority (IIA). Consortia apply through the EUREKA SmartSimple portal with funding decisions made independently by each country's National Funding Body according to national grant rules. The submission deadline is 21 July 2026.

A qualifying consortium must include at least one independent entity registered in Germany and at least one registered in Israel; no single organisation or country may hold more than 70% of total project costs. SMEs, large companies, universities, and research organisations are all permitted to participate, while individuals may not apply as sole applicants. Applications must target a civilian purpose — projects with military or dual-use scope are ineligible. The award amounts available to German participants are governed by DLR-PT rules; Israeli participants are funded under IIA terms, neither of which is published at the EUREKA programme level.

Competitive applications demonstrate a credible international cooperation rationale — outcomes that require the combined expertise of the German and Israeli partners rather than work that could be done domestically. DLR-PT and IIA each conduct their own technical and market-readiness evaluations before allocating funds, so teams should engage both National Funding Bodies early to confirm budget eligibility and identify any country-specific documentation requirements before the July deadline.

International R&D collaboration between Germany and Israel across any civilian technology sector, funded by DLR-PT and the Israel Innovation Authority respectively, deadline 21 July 2026.
