FLOWIN Prize — Phase Two: U.S. Manufacturing Approaches
Pays US floating-wind teams $450,000 each to plan offshore turbine manufacturing.
The full FLOWIN Prize runs in three phases with a shrinking pool of winners at each step. Phase One, Qualification and Teaming, funded up to nine winners with $100,000 in cash and a $75,000 technical services voucher each, for identifying the critical hurdles to commercializing a floating platform design and showing real progress toward a domestic supply chain. Phase Two, covered here, is open onl…
Phase Two of the FLOWIN Prize is only for teams already selected in Phase One, working to advance floating offshore wind turbine platform designs toward domestic manufacturing. It wants concrete plans for mass production and assembly of floating offshore wind platforms in the United States, strengthening the domestic supply chain.
