The Commission wants logistics models and digital planning tools that let heavy-duty battery-electric trucks handle long-haul freight missions across the EU and Associated Countries, balancing vehicle range, charging time and total cost of ownership. Proposals should build on real fleet-operator data, test new operational concepts in at least eight different long-haul missions including cross-border routes, and develop digital tools supporting interoperable cross-border charging.
