The Commission wants flexible, mobile Onshore Power Supply (OPS) technology — either systems that can serve ships across multiple berths and terminals, or systems that supply power to vessels at anchorage — going beyond today's static, single-connection OPS installations. Proposals must pick one of those two areas, minimise the risk of system failure in bad weather, and identify remaining gaps in fast-charging and OPS standards.
