Funds sustainable and digital strategies for small and medium European ports, demonstrated in at least six ports across five maritime and one inland site.
Consortia submit an Innovation Action proposal through a single-stage call on the EU Funding & Tenders Portal. Proposals have to work out the financial side too: an evaluation of the financial implications of the proposed solutions, and financing or business-model strategies that go beyond public support, is expected alongside the technical work. The Commission wants sustainable and digital strategies that help middle-sized and small maritime and inland ports cut emissions, adapt to climate risk and become more competitive, covering smart energy systems, climate resilience measures and digital standards for emissions data. It wants proposals to explore workforce needs and produce an R&I roadmap for ports through 2035 and 2050.
