Safety of renewable low and zero-carbon waterborne fuels in port areas (ZEWT partnership)
Funds one project assessing the safety risks of storing and bunkering renewable low-carbon fuels in EU port areas and writing safety guidelines.
This is a single-stage Coordination and Support Action, evaluated and funded in one round rather than a staged process, with award criteria, scoring, thresholds and the post-evaluation timeline set out in the Work Programme's General Annexes rather than restated on the topic page. The Commission funds one project, paid as a fixed lump sum against agreed work packages, using the standard CSA form aβ¦
The Commission wants a comprehensive risk assessment of introducing renewable low and zero-carbon waterborne fuels into maritime and inland port areas, covering distribution, simultaneous bunkering, import/export terminals, handling and storage. It wants proposals to review gaps in existing EU regulations and produce safety guidelines, standard risk-assessment criteria and a skills-development strategy for port personnel.
