The European Commission wants dynamic ecosystem models — for either terrestrial (Area A) or marine (Area B) ecosystems — that estimate ecological reference values and can assess proposed restoration pathways under the EU Nature Restoration Regulation. It wants these models to feed into and improve broader climate and land-use models, and to be built in coordination with the companion in-situ observation topic (BIODIV-04) in the same call.
