Generative-AI based Agents to Revolutionize Medical Diagnosis and Treatment of Cancer
Funds research teams building interactive generative-AI agents that integrate medical imaging and health data to improve cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Consortia aren't required -- a single legal entity such as a university, research organisation, SME, start-up or individual can apply alone -- but solo applications from mid-caps or larger companies aren't permitted at all, so a bigger company has to team up with others to take part. When a consortium of two applies, both must be independent entities from two different Member States or Associated …
This Pathfinder Challenge wants early-stage research into GenAI agents that combine multimodal medical imaging and health data for one named cancer type — breast, cervical, ovarian, prostate, lung, brain, stomach or colorectal — covering both a technological area (data integration, synthetic data, knowledge representation) and a clinical area (predictive diagnosis or personalised treatment selection). It wants the resulting models to be interpretable and to comply with the EU's Trustworthy AI principles and the AI Act.
