The European Commission wants innovative approaches to how construction and renovation services in social and affordable housing are defined, procured, delivered, financed or managed, using building technologies already on the market such as off-site construction, modular systems, smart meters, sensors and predictive maintenance. Proposals must apply environmentally sustainable practices like nature-based solutions or carbon-storing materials, and this topic also covers social care homes, elderly housing and other inclusive residential-with-welfare housing.
