Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) in Schools Grant Scheme
Funding SuDS design and installation to reduce surface water flood risk at schools.
This grant supports delivery providers to design and install sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) on school sites, helping reduce the risk of surface water flooding in the school estate. It can support projects ranging from rainwater downpipe planters to schemes using measures such as detention basins, raingardens and bioretention tree pits.
It is for Lead Local Flood Authorities, water companies,…
In scope are the design and construction of SuDS features on school sites, including projects from small rainwater downpipe planters to schemes with multiple SuDS solutions such as detention basins, raingardens and bioretention tree pits. Applications may be for a standalone SuDS project or part of a wider set of works, but the DfE will only contribute to the SuDS-related aspect. Both design and installation must be included.
