Bee Keeping Scheme
Subsidizes bee boxes and colonies and pays farmers a stipend to complete beekeeping training.
A resident farmer applies through the local Horticulture Mobile Team Centre for subsidized bee boxes and colonies, paying 40% of the cost themselves. A separate seven-day training programme pays the farmer a per-day allowance, disbursed in cash or by bank transfer once training is complete. Selection runs first-come, first-served against the available budget.
The scheme is aimed only at farmers in Uttarakhand who want to take up beekeeping. It covers the physical equipment (boxes, colonies) and a short training course, not a wider agribusiness.
