The Design Component funds MSMEs that want professional help creating new design strategies or redesigning their products, through consulting and design interventions. It also runs Design Awareness Programmes -- seminars and workshops that introduce MSMEs to how design and innovation apply in their industry. A separate Student Design Project strand lets students work on design problems for MSMEs.
