The Innovative Startup Package — Materials, Parts and Equipment (소재부품장비 창업기업 100 패키지) is a sector-focused KISED program targeting South Korea's strategic supply-chain independence agenda in the materials, parts, and equipment (MPE) industry. The program provides commercialization grants of up to KRW 200 million per startup, covering prototype production, product upgrades, and marketing activities. A program cap of 100 startups applies per cycle. Applications are accepted in the first half of the calendar year through the K-Startup portal (www.k-startup.go.kr), with the process following four stages: project notice, application, selection and evaluation, and commercialization support execution.

Eligibility extends to both pre-entrepreneurs and registered startups with fewer than seven years of operating history, provided their business is in the MPE sector. The sector restriction reflects Korea's national policy priority of reducing dependence on foreign suppliers of materials, parts, and equipment following trade disruptions. A 2020 reference figure shows a KRW 5 billion pool supporting approximately 20 startups, but current-year budget data is not confirmed; the program may scale the recipient count up to the stated cap of 100. Required documents include a business plan and, for registered companies, a certificate of business registration.

This program is most relevant for hardware-adjacent, semiconductor supply chain, advanced manufacturing, and precision equipment startups seeking non-dilutive commercialization capital in a competitively gated but sector-targeted environment. The 2025 cycle is closed. Applicants for the 2026 cycle should monitor public notices in early 2026. KISED's Startup Ecosystem Fostering Division handles program administration and can be reached at 044-410-1889, 1892, or 1883.
