Covers up to 95% of the technical assistance costs to turn a sustainable-energy project idea into signed investment contracts, if it can leverage at least 15x its own grant.

The LIFE Clean Energy Transition programme wants technical assistance projects that help public or private project promoters turn energy-efficiency or renewable-energy ideas into actual, financed investments, covering activities like project bundling, technical studies, energy audits, financing assessment, legal advice and tendering preparation. Eligible sectors include building renovation, decarbonising district heating/cooling and local grids, industrial energy projects, and decentralised renewable generation that displaces fossil fuel use — new-build construction and already fully commercial renewable technology are out of scope. Proposals must show organisational or financial innovation, such as one-stop-shops, aggregated procurement, or blended public-private financing structures.
