The New Jersey Commission on Science, Innovation and Technology administers the Clean Tech Seed Grant Program as a state grant for New Jersey early-stage clean technology and clean energy companies. The program was developed with the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities and the New Jersey Economic Development Authority to help companies move clean-technology discoveries from research stage toward commercial products and services.

Round 4 offered grants of up to USD 75,000, with a total program pool of USD 750,000 provided through NJBPU's Clean Energy Program. The program targets projects from TRL 2 through TRL 7 and covers clean technology areas including advanced materials, energy storage and distribution, energy efficiency, energy generation, green buildings, transportation, waste processing, and water and agriculture.

Applicants must be authorized and in good standing to conduct business in New Jersey, hold a current New Jersey tax clearance certificate listing CSIT, have one to 50 full-time equivalent workers, perform at least 50 percent of worker, founder, and contractor hours in New Jersey, and have no more than USD 5 million in prior-year sales revenue excluding grant revenue. The captured Round 4 source says the application cycle is closed, and no future round date is published.

Applicants should use the CSIT program page and linked NJEDA portal only to monitor a future reopening. The source does not publish scoring weights, decision timing, or a future deadline for the next cycle.
