The call funds regions and communities to develop climate-resilience pathways, plans and innovation portfolios, building on existing assessments of climate change trends and risk projections. Selection prioritises regions and communities with heightened vulnerability, defined per the IPCC AR6 framework as susceptibility to harm combined with limited capacity to cope and adapt.
