The minimum award is NOK 1,000,000; no maximum is stated. The transport focus means that cross-sector applicants in AI, IoT, robotics, and connected systems qualify if their primary application is transport infrastructure or mobility.
Because co-funding comes from the Ministry of Transport and Statens vegvesen, applications that directly address Norwegian government transport priorities — such as zero-emission transport, autonomous vehicles, road safety technology, or digitalization of transport logistics — align most closely with funder expectations. Companies that can demonstrate a credible testing plan in a real Norwegian transport context, rather than purely theoretical development, are best positioned.
