The programme backs early-stage ventures built on significant, defensible scientific or engineering advances rather than incremental or standardised technology, with a long commercialisation path and global growth ambition. It wants ventures with strong science or engineering links and some technical validation already done, incorporated in New Zealand and benefiting New Zealand.
