The Commission wants a single project that co-creates a Fediverse or AT Protocol-based social media platform for young EU citizens, with youth participation from at least eight Member States, focused on wellbeing, safety and inclusivity for disabled and neurodivergent users. It wants a working prototype or upgrade of at least two existing decentralised services, tested and refined with real users, plus a roll-out and sustainability strategy for the wider decentralised social-media ecosystem.
