Become a Solver

Funds Solver teams selected through MIT Solve's annual Global Challenges with a share of more than $1 million in prize money.

Between cyclesMIT SolveGlobal

Solutions are scored against eight criteria: alignment with a Global Challenge, potential for impact, feasibility, how innovative the approach is, people-first design, scalability, partnership potential, and technical feasibility — though the last three only come into play once a solution reaches finalist selection. A team lead, solution or organisation can apply to more than one Global Challenge

MIT Solve looks for tech-based, people-first solutions to open challenges within climate, economic prosperity, health, learning, and Indigenous communities. It accepts solutions at any stage of development, from an unbuilt concept through an already-scaling venture, and welcomes any organizational form.
