Technology Innovation Awards
Awards a $10,000 technology grant to a US nonprofit's innovative tech project.
The application itself breaks into five parts with named sub-fields: organizational information (name, EIN, website, contact details and finances), organizational background (mission, services offered, key constituents), the technology project itself (project name and teaser, a full description, a target timeline, and a draft cost breakdown attached as a document), and finally the expected impact โฆ
Open to 501(c)3 or 501(c)4 nonprofits with a technology project idea meant to positively impact their community, excluding churches or religious organizations, private schools, colleges or universities, nonprofit hospitals, cooperative hospital service organizations, and government units. The nonprofit must run on annual operating funds of at least $500,000, demonstrate fiscal responsibility, and not discriminate in service delivery or employment on any basis including ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or religion. Past funded projects include data-science tools for urban transport planning, a college-cost transparency dashboard, an accessibility-focused event platform, and a GIS-based emergency asset-mapping tool, giving a sense of the range of 'innovative technology project' the awards actually reward.
