The PRECISEU Open Call is a cascade grant funded through the I3 Interregional Innovation Investments Instrument, issued by the PRECISEU consortium — itself funded directly by EISMEA. Applicants respond to the PRECISEU consortium's sub-call, not directly to EISMEA. The call targets joint interregional projects in personalised medicine at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 6 to 8. Total available budget is EUR 11,570,000, with a maximum award of EUR 3,000,000 per project and a maximum of EUR 600,000 per single beneficiary. The call opened 13 April 2026 and closes 14 June 2026 at 17:00 CEST.
Geographic eligibility is restricted to nine PRECISEU funding territories across seven EU countries: Baden-Württemberg (Germany), Castilla La Mancha and Catalonia (Spain), Crete and Emilia-Romagna (Italy is split — Crete is Greece; Emilia-Romagna and Lazio are Italy), Ireland, Lazio (Italy), Lithuania, and North East Romania. Eligible applicant types include companies, research institutes, universities, technology centers, local authorities, public administrations, associations, NGOs, patient organizations, and hospitals — both for-profit and nonprofit entities qualify. Consortium requirements mandate at least three independent entities from three different PRECISEU funding agency regions, with at least two entities in two different EU Member States and at least one SME from a PRECISEU region. One non-PRECISEU partner may join on a self-funded basis.
Projects must address personalised medicine applications with clear interregional scope — single-region projects are ineligible. Submissions are made through the EU Funding and Tenders Portal (competitive-calls-cs reference 13843). Applicants should verify that their institution is based in one of the nine designated territories before investing in proposal preparation, as the geographic restriction is enforced at the level of the funding agency regions, not at EU country level.
Interregional personalised medicine projects at TRL 6–8 spanning at least three of nine PRECISEU funding territories across seven EU countries, with cascade awards up to €3 million per project.
