Track A is looking for a full desalination system, or a credible path to one, that can reliably and sustainably produce one million liters of potable water a day from seawater at the lowest possible cost. It weighs global accessibility, environmental sustainability (marine-friendly intake, brine management, energy efficiency, small footprint) and operational reliability, and welcomes early-stage researchers and component or partial-system innovators as well as teams with a complete system.
