UKRI: Integration of AI/HPC with quantum
Make quantum computers work inside normal high-performance computing workflows.
This call funds collaborative research projects that get quantum computing working as part of ordinary high-performance computing workflows, rather than as a separate machine you have to think about separately. It is part of Quantum Mission 1 under the UK's National Quantum Strategy.
The work is about finding and removing the bottlenecks in quantum-classical integration, and building end-to-end h…
In scope: quantum-classical integration challenges, end-to-end hybrid workflows, and understanding what the quantum sector needs from advanced computing. The call aims at a UK quantum computing ecosystem capable of exceeding one trillion coherent operations, combined with demonstrable economic and societal benefit and widespread adoption. Grants cannot include a project co-lead based at IIASA or in Norway — the UKRI-RCN Money Follows Cooperation Agreement and the UKRI-IIASA agreement do not apply here.
