Innovate UK Business Growth — formerly branded as Innovate UK EDGE — is the UK national innovation agency's advisory and scaleup support service for ambitious, innovation-focused SMEs across all UK regions. The service pairs participating businesses with one-to-one support from Innovate UK's network of innovation and growth specialists and scaleup directors, helping companies exploit their innovation assets, source appropriate funding, enter new markets, and navigate the UK and international innovation ecosystem. Four core service areas are offered: Exploit Innovation (IP strategy, global ecosystem access), Source Funding (finance guidance and investment readiness), Enter New Markets (partnership connections), and the Scaleup Programme for high-potential businesses.

Eligibility is focused on UK SMEs that are innovation-active. Existing Innovate UK grant competition awardees are typically direct-referred into the service, while new requests were paused as of May 2026 pending a service planning cycle update. The service was formerly an element of the Enterprise Europe Network facilitation for UK participants, including Eureka Eurostars introductions, before rebranding to its current form.

As an advisory service rather than a direct funding instrument, Innovate UK Business Growth does not itself issue loans or grants to applicants; it is a support and navigation layer that guides companies toward appropriate Innovate UK programmes, such as Innovation Loans (£100,000–£5,000,000 for late-stage R&D at 3.7% p.a.) or Smart Grants.
