Projects must focus on one or more agricultural, horticultural and forestry production sectors and on robotic and intelligent automated machines and systems; imaging, sensing and monitoring devices and systems; post harvest automation for on farm and immediate post farm gate operations only; intelligent systems for on farm food storage management and monitoring; or intelligent systems for on farm energy management and monitoring. Heavy equipment and harvesting operations are excluded from forestry. Projects will not fund equine-specific projects, wild caught fisheries, aquaculture for fish production or human consumption, food processing and manufacturing, or projects relevant to non-food or ornamental plants only.
