Project costs run from £200,000 to £500,000, over up to 24 months, starting by 1 January 2027 and ending by 31 December 2028.

In scope: feasibility studies into new solutions for major on-farm or immediate post-farmgate challenges, which must significantly improve productivity, resilience, or sustainability and progress towards low emission farming. Your project must address a significant industry challenge in at least one of four subsectors: farmed animals, plants, novel food production systems, or bioeconomy and agroforestry. Innovate UK funds a spread across technologies, markets, themes and locations rather than simply ranking applications.
