Collaborate with the UK Human Functional Genomics Initiative
Test an academic-industry functional-genomics idea and generate early data.
This award helps researchers and industrial partners build links with the UK Human Functional Genomics Initiative. It supports feasibility work, pilot studies and early experiments that test an idea and generate data for a larger collaborative proposal.
Projects can create disease-relevant genomic annotations, develop perturbation methods or disease models, use data science for functional genomic…
In scope: feasibility, pilot and initial functional-genomics studies; novel annotations in disease-relevant cells; perturbation methods; disease models; data science and computational work; technology preparation; networking and direct project costs. Out of scope: duplicate funding, indirect or estates costs, intellectual-property protection, higher-value equipment, undergraduate or postgraduate training, core doctoral training and contributions to existing knowledge transfer partnerships.
