Inflammatory Arthritis Research Consortium (Round 2)
Invests £3 million in a UK research consortium bringing together scientists, health professionals, and people with lived experience to improve precision medicine for inflammatory arthritis.
This was the second round of a wider £18 million initiative to establish six research consortia, launched in 2024. Applicants first email a notice of intention to apply, then submit a full application through the funder's Grant Tracker platform; detailed eligibility sits in a separate Inflammatory Arthritis Funding Call document.
The call targets inflammatory arthritis conditions -- rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, axial spondylarthritis, and juvenile idiopathic arthritis -- looking for teams of scientists to improve the delivery of precision medicine approaches, especially for vulnerable populations. Consortia must go beyond a single stream of expertise, bringing together researchers, health and social care professionals, and people with lived experience.
