TTAC Innovation Fellowship
Offers recurring fellowship support for Tennessee innovation leaders to strengthen commercialization expertise and startup execution.
Eligibility · United States · US-TN
The TTAC Innovation Fellowship is a recurring cohort program administered by Launch Tennessee as part of its Tennessee Technology Advancement Consortium (TTAC) network, funded through a State of Tennessee grant contract. It targets faculty and campus innovators at Tennessee universities who are in the process of commercializing technologies developed through academic research. Participants complete a structured six-week program comprising interactive workshops, expert mentorship sessions, and access to startup resources tailored to researchers moving from lab to market. Upon successful completion of the full six-week program, each fellow receives a $1,000 stipend.
Eligibility is restricted to faculty and campus innovators affiliated with Tennessee universities; for-profit entities, nonprofits, and individual applicants outside of a Tennessee university affiliation cannot participate. The stipend of $1,000 is paid on a milestone basis upon program completion and is not disbursed upfront. The Spring 2026 cohort is open for applications; additional cohorts are offered on a recurring schedule, with future dates announced on the LaunchTN website. Applications are submitted through an Airtable form, and informational sessions are available prior to each cohort start.
Prospective fellows are encouraged to attend an info session to understand program expectations before applying. The fellowship is most valuable for researchers with an identified technology or discovery and a nascent interest in startup formation or licensing. Selection criteria and cohort capacity are not publicly specified; applicants should contact LaunchTN at 615-991-2809 or info@launchtn.org for current cohort schedules and pre-application guidance. The TTAC office is located at 601 Taylor Place, Suite 101, Nashville, TN 37208.
