Munich Quantum Valley Doctoral Fellowship

Funds three-year PhD fellowships in quantum science and technology at Bavarian universities.

MQV runs an annual, highly selective international competition awarding five fellowships a year, each fully funding three years of PhD research on an ad personam basis. Candidates can also apply in parallel for the separate IMPRS-QST doctoral fellowship in the same call, though a candidate offered both must pick one; other Bavarian research groups, funded separately through federal, Bavarian or Eu

Munich Quantum Valley funds doctoral research across quantum computing: atomic physics and quantum optics, solid-state physics and materials science, quantum information theory, quantum computer applications, and related engineering and computer science topics. Fellows join a research group at any Bavarian university, chosen after selection.
