NGen Advanced Manufacturing Projects
Supports Canadian company consortia building transformative manufacturing capabilities and supply chains.
NGen's Advanced Manufacturing Projects stream is the main co-investment envelope behind its advanced manufacturing portfolio. It backs Canadian company consortia that are building or adopting transformative manufacturing capabilities, and it runs through themed intakes that open and close in waves rather than as one permanent call. The stream typically provides up to 37% of eligible project costs, with a maximum NGen contribution of about CAD 20M per project. Participation requires free NGen membership, at least two private-sector Canadian partners, at least one SME, and Canadian-incorporated organizations with active operating presence. The portfolio spans AI and machine learning, robotics, advanced materials, quantum, clean manufacturing, housing and construction, and electric vehicle supply chains. This route suits teams that need a large consortial platform rather than a small pilot grant. NGen looks for a credible commercialization path, a partner set that can share execution risk, and a project that leaves a durable capability in the Canadian manufacturing base.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
