Supports Competitive science innovation grants for AI cybersecurity IoT robotics and advanced tech to FEDER-funded.
RedIA funds experimental development R&D projects in AI and enabling technologies — artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, IoT, virtual reality, robotics, space, and advanced connectivity. Grants are awarded through competitive concurrence (concurrencia competitiva) with €130M total budget allocated across Spain's regional development tiers (€43M less-developed, €40M transition, €47M more-developed regions). Funded through FEDER (ERDF) under Spain's Pluriregional Operational Programme 2021-2027 — a distinct fiscal envelope from the PRTR-funded Kit Digital family. The program launched July 2025 with an active 2025 call. Sister program RedIA Salud targets AI in healthcare under the same wave.
