Supports Finnish early-stage companies validating market demand and preparing for international growth.

Business FinlandFinlandGrant

The Tempo and Sprint programme family supports Finnish limited liability companies in early-stage market validation and international growth preparation. **Tempo Funding** — continuous-call grant up to EUR 60,000 covering 75 percent of project costs (max EUR 80,000 total project). Used for testing or piloting demand for a product or service concept with customers, market validation, development of management and operating methods supporting international growth, financing exploration, and IP analysis. Eligible companies are Finnish limited liability companies less than 5 years old, with fewer than 50 employees and annual net sales or balance sheet up to EUR 10 million, and a committed team of at least 2 people working in Finland. The total amount of funding required by the company is EUR 38,000, of which at least EUR 30,000 must be equity financing. As a de minimis aid, total Tempo and other de minimis received cannot exceed EUR 300,000 over any 3-year period. As of 3 October 2025, the Tempo continuous call is closed due to grant authorisation constraints. Tempo decisions for applications submitted before the close continue to be processed. **Sprint Grant** — fixed-amount EUR 100,000 grant launched in March 2026 as a 2026 fixed-term call for small Finnish companies seeking rapid international growth. Applications are processed on a rolling basis from 2 March to 31 August 2026. Eligibility: Finnish limited liability company, fewer than 50 employees, annual turnover or balance sheet under EUR 10 million, at least EUR 50,000 in equity investment, and a minimum team of 2 committed people working in Finland. Applications must be preceded by an advisory appointment with Business Finland. The Sprint Grant is effectively the 2026 fixed-term alternative for Finnish small companies while the continuous Tempo and YIC calls remain paused.
