Mobility and Networking Instruments

Funds research visits, workshops, publishing fees, and scholarships for Lithuanian researchers.

The Mobility and Networking Instruments are a five-part set of grant and subsidy routes within the Research Council of Lithuania's career-development portfolio. They cover funding for research visits, support for academic networks, funding for workshops and events, an Article Processing Charges fund for open-access publishing, and student summer scholarships. It is an umbrella offer rather than a single competition, and the page points applicants to named sub-calls. Each sub-instrument follows its own schedule, but the overall portfolio is active in euros and issues multiple calls through the year. Universities are required for some routes, research organisations are allowed, and individuals can apply for selected sub-calls, including visit and student routes. Most guidance is published in Lithuanian, which keeps the programme close to the domestic research community it serves. This is a practical line for researchers who need travel support, convening money, or publication-fee relief rather than large project finance. The best fit is a researcher or team with a clear academic purpose and a request that matches one of the named sub-instruments. Because the offer is split into small, purpose-built schemes, strong applications are usually the ones that state the academic use case plainly and align that use case with the right call.

Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
