Researcher Groups Projects
Provides Lithuania's flagship competitive research grant for academic principal investigators and groups.
Researcher Groups Projects is the Research Council of Lithuania's flagship bottom-up competitive grant programme for academic research teams. It is open to Lithuanian research and study institutions, and proposals are routed through two expert panels: humanities and social sciences on one side, and natural sciences, technology, medical and health, and agricultural sciences on the other. The programme runs through the LMT information system when the annual call is announced. Applications are assessed by Lithuanian and international experts, with selection centered on the most significant, innovative, and novel research ideas. The public page does not publish a standing award size, so funding terms are set in each annual call announcement. That structure makes it a straightforward fit for university-based teams with a clear research question and a strong proposal rather than a commercial plan. Documentation is published in Lithuanian, and the route is limited to institutions registered and operating in Lithuania.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
