The CNRST / CNR Italie call is a bilateral Morocco-Italy research program run with CNRST and Italy’s Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche. It funds joint projects between Moroccan institutions and Italian partners and sits inside CNRST’s international cooperation work. The Moroccan-side award is 100,000 MAD per project, paid in two tranches of 50,000 MAD over two years. Eligible Moroccan applicants include public universities, public higher-education establishments outside universities, public research bodies, PPP universities, and state-recognized private universities. The call covers AI, agriculture, water and environment, information technology, renewable energy, health, social sciences, materials science, and natural resources. The clearest fit is a team that already has a formal academic host on the Moroccan side and a matching Italian research partner. The tripartite contract structure makes this a disciplined joint-research route, not a loose collaboration window, so proposals tend to work best when the institutions and the project governance are already settled.
