Hub71+ AI Programme — Cohort 20
Supports artificial intelligence startups in Abu Dhabi with mentorship, resources, and equity investment.
Hub71+ AI is the artificial intelligence specialist track within Hub71, Abu Dhabi's government-backed global technology ecosystem. The programme targets startups whose core product utilises or builds AI solutions — not merely AI-assisted tooling — and provides access to technical resources, AI researchers, industry practitioners, and strategic partners within Abu Dhabi's growing AI sector. Cohort 20 accepts applications until 2 August 2026, with the 12-month programme starting February 2027. Applications received after the deadline are held for consideration in the subsequent cohort.
Selected startups receive up to AED 750,000 in total support: AED 250,000 in flexible in-kind service credits, AED 250,000 in cash delivered via a SAFE note in exchange for equity, and an additional performance top-up of AED 250,000 (requiring further equity) for high-performing cohort members committed to Abu Dhabi. The cash components are equity investments through convertible instruments, not grants. At least one founder must commit to long-term relocation to Abu Dhabi and must build a team there; this is a firm and non-negotiable programme requirement. Applications are reviewed from June through November 2026, with feedback provided within three months of submission.
The 12-month programme is structured in five phases: a four-week launch phase, a four-week market entry preparation phase, a corporate introductions phase, a four-week growth acceleration phase, and a closing fundraising showcase and Demo Day. Selection follows the same four-stage process as Hub71's general Access Programme: application review, meetings with Hub71 staff, sessions with Hub71 partners, and a final selection committee decision. Applicants must submit a PDF pitch deck covering problem, solution, business model, competitive landscape, traction, prior funding, founding team, and Abu Dhabi expansion plans. The AI-core requirement distinguishes Hub71+ AI from the general Access Programme and the other specialist tracks (ClimateTech, Digital Assets, Life Sciences).
