The Future Made in Australia Innovation Fund — Renewable Energy Technology Manufacturing is an Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) program delivering an initial A$200 million tranche of federal investment to accelerate pre-commercial innovation, demonstration, and deployment of renewable energy technologies manufactured in Australia. Organisations best positioned for this stream are those that can demonstrate a credible path from pre-commercial innovation to domestic manufacturing at scale in renewable energy hardware — solar panels, wind components, battery systems, or adjacent technologies. Because the fund targets the manufacturing layer rather than research alone, applicants should present clear industrial capability, supply-chain links, and a route to commercial production in Australia.
