The Department of Industry, Science and Resources built this program to demonstrate Australian quantum capability, drive private-sector demand for it, and de-risk broader adoption of quantum technology across the economy, in line with the National Quantum Strategy. The program funds quantum-technology solutions to market-led problems of national significance that the Australian Government sets each round, such as biosecurity, health, energy, transport and logistics. It aims to build ties between quantum researchers, quantum businesses and technology end-users.
