Denmark Energy Export Promotion Grant
Funds public-private partnerships promoting export of Danish green energy solutions through the Danish Energy Agency's annual energy export grant.
The Danish Energy Agency (Energistyrelsen) administers an annual grant program to promote Danish green energy expertise and solutions in international markets. The program funds joint public-private projects that demonstrate, promote, or facilitate the export of Danish energy technology and know-how.
The 2026 round has DKK 8.4 million available. Applications open August 3, 2026 and close October 2, 2026 at 23:55. Applications must be submitted via the ENS portal (portal.ens.dk). An application guide is available at https://ens.dk/media/7787/download.
For-profit companies are required partners in every project — a public-private partnership is mandatory, meaning at least one private company and at least one public actor must join each application. The private company partner is a required element, not just permitted.
Projects typically involve demonstrating Danish energy solutions abroad, organizing bilateral knowledge exchanges, supporting market entry in new countries, or facilitating commercial agreements for Danish green energy exports. The program runs annually with a new round each year.
Export promotion of Danish green energy technology: wind, CCS/CCUS, district heating, energy efficiency, offshore energy, and related clean energy solutions. Requires public-private partnership (at least one private company and one public actor).
