Military multi-domain operations cloud services
Funds development of federated cloud services that connect EU militaries' data and command systems across land, air, sea and space.
This is a single-stage EDF Development Action (an expedited call) with an indicative topic budget of €40 million; normally one proposal is funded, though more may be funded if quality and budget allow. Eligible work spans studies, design, system prototyping, testing and qualification.
This topic is for development work on multi-domain operations cloud services — a federated, multi-national 'cloud of clouds' that links existing and future community-of-interest services into one shared information space. It wants proposals that improve multi-level situational awareness and command-and-control across land, air, maritime and space domains, building on earlier EU work in this area. It also counts toward the EU's STEP objectives for deep and digital technologies.
