Non-thematic actions targeting disruptive technologies for defence
Pays up to EUR 3 million per proposal for disruptive defence technology anywhere in the field, from TRL 4 upward.
This is a single-stage EDF Lump Sum call, run in indirect management by the European Defence Agency rather than the Commission directly, with several proposals expected to be funded from the topic's own envelope and no single proposal allowed to request more than EUR 3 million. A funded action is expected to run between 12 and 24 months, with other lengths accepted only in duly justified cases. Ev…
The European Defence Agency wants proposals that demonstrate a genuinely disruptive impact on defence applications, accelerating new solutions for armed forces and helping civilian innovations move into the defence sector. It's open to any area of defence interest as long as the underlying technology has already reached Technology Readiness Level 4, with a goal of getting a rapid time-to-market. Funded work must cover at least one of: generating new knowledge, or integrating existing knowledge together with design work or an efficiency increase.
