The program funds Romanian-based agrifood ventures at the validated-idea, prototype, MVP, or early market-testing stage, spanning digitally driven farming and food-production tech, sustainability-minded food systems, the circular economy, food-waste reduction, packaging, and supply chains. It is open to early-stage entrepreneurs, researchers turning their work into products, university staff, corporate or nonprofit-based innovators, past EIT Food Challenge Labs participants, and teams spanning multiple disciplines.
