Any scientific or scholarly field, chosen bottom-up with no fixed priorities — the team's shared research problem has to need skills and resources that no single Principal Investigator could bring alone. Deep-tech relevance depends on the specific topic each team proposes (for example, materials science, quantum information, energy systems, or biotechnology).
