Developing and validating numerical and experimental aero-acoustic methods for new ultraefficient aircraft, especially large passenger aircraft using open-fan or ultra-high-bypass architectures. Projects should address airframe and cabin noise, engine sources and installation effects, noise perception and annoyance, experimental data, multidisciplinary aerodynamic and aeroacoustic optimisation, and integrated metamaterials or structures for noise reduction.
